Truck Accidents
In the United States, almost 500,000 truck accidents occur every year. Truck accidents differ from regular car accidents in that they involve larger vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds. When these large trucks make contact with smaller vehicles or pedestrians on the road, the outcome is often tragic. Smaller motor vehicles tend to bear the brunt of the impact with large trucks causing life-threatening injuries and even death.
If you believe your truck accident was the fault of another party, we will investigate all potentially at-fault parties and search for evidence that could benefit your case.
We will determine the legal responsibility of the trucking company the driver works for, the truck owner, or the cargo loader or manufacturer who all may also be responsible if they failed to meet safety requirements or properly inspect their equipment.
What to Do After a Truck Accident
NEVER TALK TO THE OTHER DRIVER’S INSURANCE COMPANY!!
If you are involved in a serious Truck accident, you should do a few things:
(1) call 911; (2) make sure you are out of harm’s way; (3) obtain insurance information from the motor vehicle driver; (4) take photographs of the scene; (5) get contact information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash; (6) get a police report number from the responding officer.
If you are injured, do not disregard your injury, because it could develop into a worsening condition.
Seek medical attention first
